Missouri's Newest State Park Is Simply Incredible
Before planning where you'll go for your summer vacation, you will want to take a look at Missouri's Echo Bluff State Park, a new park with some amenities to enjoy. Missouri is already home to some pretty amazing state parks, but Echo Bluff State Park located just half of a mile from the Current River in Eminence feels almost like you are staying in a resort. The new park is surrounded by towering bluffs, acres of forest and the Sinking Creek. In the summer, visitors can splash around in the creek or the Current River. You can also enjoy a relaxing float trip, rent a canoe or a kayak. For the kids, there's a fun nature playground at the park. There's also a spring inside the park that's a favorite spot among guests. You'll also want to explore the inside of a historic riding stable. Before it was Echo Bluff State Park, this area of land formerly Camp Zoe, a campground, and venue for music festivals. Today, the only thing left Camp Zoe, and the festival is the rustic riding stable.
If you are planning to stay the night, there are plenty of options. You can try the Timbuktu campground which features 12 walk-in sites and 60 full-service camping sites. The walk-in sites are a bit more secluded and are shaded by trees. The entire Timbuktu Campground is full of amenities. If you plan on bringing an RV, there is also water, electric and pump-out services at all of the 60 full-service campsites. The entire state park is also equipped with complimentary WiFi. The bathrooms are strategically placed throughout the State Park to make your stay even more comfortable and convenient. For a comfortable night's stay, you might opt to spend the night in one of the stacked cabins. And for larger families or groups, there are nine fully furnished cabins to stay. All of the cabins in the park include an outdoor deck, kitchen, flat-screen TV, gas grill and a fireplace. There are two, three and four bedroom cabins available for reservation. For breathtaking views of the State Park, you can spend the night at the Betty Lea Lodge. The park lodge provides 16 guest rooms and four suites, each with its balcony to enjoy stunning views of the park. The lodge has the same amenities offered at the cabins along with 24-hour front desk service, this is a step above glamping. You can either choose to cook your meal on the fire or dine at Creekside Grill. The Creekside Grill casual eatery is located inside the lodge and serves food all day, whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it's open everyday. When it comes to natural beauty, comfortable accommodation and activities to do, Echo Bluff State Park is the perfect place to spend your summer vacation.
