THE POLYGON STUDIO
Some small homes, small spaces, and tiny spaces may be small in size but they are big on design and style, it always amazes me how simple architectural elements have the huge impact that they do. "THE POLYGON STUDIO," designed by Jeffrey S. Poss Architect and Workus Studio has the sort of impact that you just can't stop looking at.
This small space is used as a sculpture studio, with its abstract shape and zigzagging roof sitting on top of a steeply sloped lot on Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, it is a lovely site. The galvanized steel cladding runs up one wall and onto the roof, where it is folded into a pair of asymmetrical gables, the studio space includes enough room for overnight guests to stay, the architects devised three interconnected spaces, two storied area for sculpting , and a loft for guests. The lower floor level is 409 square feet, and the lot is a bit less than half of that. The large glass doors at both ends levels, face the lake, durable concrete floor, white walls and cedar ceilings for warmth. The web site offers lots of photos of this beautiful space.
