Does Technology Make the Tiny House Movement Possible?

It's quite apparent that tiny homes are becoming increasingly popular among homeowners and people looking for more affordable options for purchasing a dwelling. While it was and still is common to get a mortgage and be in debt in order to call a house your own, there is a revolution of people opting for tiny homes as a more practical way of living and now the question is being asked "Does Technology Make the Tiny House Movement Possible?". Well in this article on the "Tiny House Living" website the author Laura explores the question which was originally posted on the "Tiny Houses Listings" website.

Essentially the question is aimed at exploring whether the advent or our modern technology makes it possible to comfortably live in a tiny home in comparison to older days when these luxuries weren't available, and thus we needed more space to do our domestic duties. Basically things like washers and dryers, dishwashers, and computers make our lives much easier in many ways. Some argue that without these things it would be a terrible experience to stay in a tiny home. Of course opinions are likely to differ and a unanimous decision would be hard to achieve. What do you think... does technology make the tiny hose movement possible?

In my opinion I definitely think it makes it easier. Imagine needing to wash and dry your clothes by hand, where would you even hang up clothes to dry in such a tiny home? Then you have inventions for composting toilets, solar panels, and other off grid living essentials that enhance the whole experience. If you have a huge house to power obviously the cost goes up the larger the space is, but with tiny homes it's possible to use solar energy and wind power for all your requirements. It's an interesting question, so what do you think? Checkout the article for yourself if you'r interested in learning more!
