Cody Lundin’s Sustainable Home
Have you ever seen Cody Lundin’s sustainable home? If you’re interested in building a fabulous off-grid, eco friendly home in the most natural and earth-friendly way, you really need to check this out!
First of all, who is Cody Lundin? He is an outdoor survival and self-reliance expert who has been teaching his craft internationally for over 25 years. If you want to learn wilderness survival, urban preparedness, sustainable design – or all of the above, then Cody is your man. He has founded his own school, the “Aboriginal Living Skills School” where people from all over the world can travel to Arizona, where Cody lives, to take fascinating courses and learn these very important skills. The Arizona landscape provides people with all different kinds of terrain to train in, so they can learn how to be prepared for just about anything!
And the Arizona landscape is perfect for Cody’s sustainable home, too. He has designed it himself and built it with his own two hands, all according to the lay of the land. It is basically a south-facing “cave”, with tons of light pouring in through a wall of windows at the front of the house, and several beautiful dug-out rooms inside. It is surprisingly large and spacious! There is solar heating and a sky light as well, giving more light and allowing for more heat when need be. The house has optimum temperatures at all times of the year – staying cool in the summer time, and warm in the winter. Because Cody has worked with Mother Earth herself in the building of his home, he does not have to worry about any heating costs, nor does he even need to burn wood. His home is consistently at a perfect temperature!
