The Willow Springs log home floor plan builds a beauty of a log home. In the photos of it, you see a larger sized log home towering over the hillside, with it's amazing patio and the peaked roof with great windows. With plenty of space for a family, this gorgeous floor would be perfect to build a dream home from. The high cathedral ceilings with the timber exposed beams throughout, show the stunning quality of logs, and would be any log home lover's dream come true. The kitchen in the photos shows how beautifully the interior can be designed. As they show it here, with the masonry work on the kitchen island, stones are a perfect combination for a log home, to keep that natural, earthy look and feel.
This well thought out floor plan has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the master bedroom on the upstairs level, complete with an en suite and walk-in closet. The other two bedrooms are downstairs with a shared bathroom. The kitchen is designed to be open to the living room and dining room for ease and flow, the lovely stone built island as the central focus. In the very large great room, a fireplace graces the front wall, and would be the perfect addition to the log home, to keep the cold days warm and cozy. There is also a sunroom featured in the Willow Springs log home floor plan, as well as a study upstairs. Many decks were incorporated into the design, with a large one on the back of the home, and three smaller patios on the other three sides of the log house. One of the patios leads off of the two downstairs bedrooms, and there is also a patio balcony off of the master bedroom.
Expedition Log Homes provides all of the superior quality log home building materials needed to build the homes in their floor plans. They manufacture their materials out of only the highest grade logs that have been kiln dried, prohibiting any moisture to attract mold or insects. The logs are handcrafted into full sized logs, or half sized logs depending on what the client would prefer, to build an airtight shell. The shell is very energy efficient, and their log-built shell packages have been rated as having a high thermal mass, which means the home will be able to keep in heat and keep cold air out. This makes for a highly efficient home that won't need a lot of heating in the colder months. The company also offers an array of different corner and profiling styles for how the log home is built, in the way that the logs are stacked and interconnected at the corners. The saddle notch is one of the more popular ways, but they also offer D-log dovetail, as well as vertical posts at the corners. Check out more on their website!
